Job Summary:

Acquisition Professionals (AP) LLC  is seeking a Retention Coordinator to evaluates the unit's retention environment; explains strength maintenance recognition programs; conducts strength maintenance interviews and briefings; develops time management work plans; trains unit first line leaders on career planning; reviews requests for and identifies alternatives to separation, transfer, or discharge; reviews extension, immediate reenlistment procedures; evaluates retention data, forms and files; analyzes unit pay and performance data.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Advise the Commanding General on trends and solutions in attrition management. 
  • Manage the movement of personnel to the Inactive National Guard upon request. 
  • Prepare, maintain, and brief presentations to senior headquarters staff on retention goals. 
  • Ensure negative end-strength and NO-VAL are kept under maximum standard. 
  • Develop and implement retention training requirements and objectives for units, battalion, and MSC career counselors. 
  • Manage secure website, Retention Management Software (RMS). 
  • Furnish guidance to stationing team on defining organizational needs; articulate solutions and approaches for addressing force structure changes. 
  • Supply research to G1 concerning Congressional inquiries. 
  • Analyze data and transmit historical trends to Strategic Management Office, including for TAG’s annual State of the State briefing to NGB. 
  • Lead actuarial analyses and statistical tests using large databases. 
  • Review and analyze personnel data matters using the authorized unit Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E). 
  • Administer the state's Freedom Salute and Extend to Defend programs for all completed retention contracts. 
  • Provide data about the GAARNG workforce. 
  • Supervise execution of the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for the G1. 
  • Forecast possible issues from the Force Integration Plan. 
  • Coordinate with state Incentive Managers (IMs). 
  • Capture, develop, share, and effectively use organizational knowledge. 
  • Conduct annual assessments of recruiting, retention, and personnel operations in all MSCs. 
  • Minimum Requirements and Experience:
  • Must have active Secret
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid and sound attention to details
  • Exceptional coordination skill sets with the ability and experience to track multiple tasks and projects to provide accurate status
  • Analyze existing systems and processes and make solid recommended process improvement and take the initiative to implement
  • Strong use of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Must be a United States Citizen.

Education/Certifications:
 
  • High School diploma 
  • 5+ years of associated work experience
