Acquisition Professionals LLC. is actively recruiting for an experienced Communication Specialist to join our team.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

Media and Communications Materials

  • Draft periodic articles
  • Develop press releases, support primary media liaison for the agency.
  • Participate in the development of a solicitation for a graphic designer, who will be engaged to provide a consistent look and branding of communications collateral, including the website.
  • In consultation with the Agency, work with the graphic designer in the development of a consistent suite of promotional materials, including flyers, fact sheets, program tools, and survey summaries.
  • Provide editing input for consistent style and grammatical correctness for all communication materials, including website communications.

 

Web Support

  • Provide editorial oversight of website content.
  • Periodically review web links to ensure functionality and relevance.

 

Social Media

  • Compile and maintain a list of participants willing to undertake interviews about their program participation experiences with Agency.
  • Draft interview questions and lead interviews with participants about their program participation experiences.
  • Employ a mix of audio and video media in support of interview activities.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Years of Experience, Education / Certification & Clearance)

  • Three years of work related experience
  • High School diploma
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Experience in a Marketing Communications position or other communication role.
  • Experience working with web-based marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while maintaining the ability to establish and follow routine processes and procedures.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, problem-solving and excellent communication (writing/editing and verbal) skills.
  • Exercises initiative in undertaking routine assignments/projects without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in journalism, interviewing, writing and other media.
  • Knowledge of and experience with shooting and editing video is preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and social media strategies highly desired.
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector preferred.
