Description

Acquisition Professionals LLC is seeking a Budget Analyst to support our Federal Client in Washington, D.C. The candidate will perform the full range of budgetary duties required to plan, organize, or conduct division-wide budget development activities involving the analysis and review of diversified accounts. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Consolidate and summarize budget recommendations for each budget cycle at the Division/unit/program level
  • Prepare creative and complex Power Point presentations and other reports
  • Assist with compiling and maintaining data
  • Responsible for the maintenance of excel spreadsheets including projection activities
  • Serve as liaison and resource to Divisions and other financial managers regarding financial data and proper budget procedures and practices. Resolve related problems.
  • Prepare program cost analysis, with recommendations to management for final decision making
  • Research, analyze, and prepare ad hoc analyses/reports
  • Provide short-and long-term budget forecasting, identifying areas of concern and recommending actions to alleviate potential adverse issues
  • Provide recommendations to management for final decision making
  • Research, compile, maintain, and review annual reports for the Section and Unit Chiefs and above
  • Provide quality control of submitted procurement request with 99% accuracy
  • Develop and maintain financial reports associated with Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) funding to capture business timelines and milestone to meet ELA execution deadline
  • Collect funding from Divisions/Unit with in specified timelines to meet deadlines

Position Qualifications include:

  • Must have active TS with eligibility for SCI (open to a CI-Poly)
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision – think outside the box
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Detailed oriented - Solid and sound attention to details
  • At least three years of experience in a complex professional financial support position with responsibilities for budgets, and which includes experience with business analytics, demonstrable excellence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiar with financial software systems, like Momentum, Oracle, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong mathematical skills in a multiple priority environment
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate complex management tasks, to work independently, and to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to interpret institutional policies, plans, objectives, rules and regulations, and to communicate the interpretation to others
